Cambridge Zen Center offers daily Zen meditation practice in the morning and evening, with a few exceptions listed on the chart below. Dharma talks are in person weekly on Thursday and also available over Zoom. Zoom is also available on retreats and the Tuesday and Sunday Long Sittings. All other sessions are in person only. Practice is free of charge; donations are appreciated.
* Long Sitting is offered over Zoom and in person. It consists of three 30-minute sitting periods on Tuesday evenings and four 30-minute sitting periods on Sunday morning, with 10-minute walking meditation in between the sittings. You may join any sitting period during walking meditation. Optional kong-an or consulting interviews are held during Long Sitting.
Please note - Once a month, usually the second weekend, the Zen Center holds a Zen meditation retreat. During the retreat, the Center is only open to retreat registrants and other events such as Sunday Morning Long Sit & Young Zen, are canceled. Retreats are available on Zoom as well as in person.
The Thursday Dharma talk is offered in person and also available on Zoom. Note on retreat weekends the talk may switch to Friday night.
