DAILY PRACTICE SCHEDULE
Cambridge Zen Center offers meditation practice in the mornings and evenings, except on Sunday mornings. Practice is always free of charge. Arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start time.
Morning practice begins at 5:45 a.m. Evening practice begins with chanting at 6:30 p.m. and sitting meditation at 7:30 p.m. On Tuesday evenings, we offer additional meditation periods until 9:30 p.m.
We also offer mid-day practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 – 1 p.m. And on Sunday mornings, we offer an extended period of meditation from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Note that the Zen center is closed to the public during Tuesday morning practice and during retreats. See the table below for a complete schedule of daily practice activities.
* Long Sitting consists of three 30-minute sitting periods on Tuesday evenings and four 30-minute sitting periods on Sunday morning with 10-minute walking meditation in between the sittings. You may join any sitting period during walking meditation. Usually, there will be either consulting or kong-an interviews during Long Sitting.
